What is Aptos?

Aptos is an independent project built on the foundation of Diem blockchain research and development initiated by Meta (formerly Facebook). Its mission is to provide an outstanding user experience and onboard a billion people to Web3.

Why stake Aptos with P2P.org?

P2P.org has more than four years of experience operating validator infrastructure for 40+ networks. We participated in Aptos Incentivised Testnet and reached one of the best performances. P2P.org was among the selected by Aptos Labs partners to run infrastructure on their behalf. We provide 24/7 technical and client support. More than 25000 delegators trust P2P.org to secure a 1,5 billion USD value.

How often are staking rewards distributed?

Staking rewards are distributed every epoch (~2 hours) and automatically added to the active stake (compounded).

Is there an unstaking period?

Aptos governance sets the lockup duration. The validator unlock period varies from a few hours to 30 days, depending on when you unstake your APT. For example, if you stake 10 days into the cycle, you must wait 20 days to unlock your tokens. Once the unlock date has passed, you can withdraw your tokens.

Is there a slashing risk?

Slashing is currently not activated for the Aptos blockchain.

What is the minimum amount to stake?

Currently, the minimum amount to stake with P2P.org is at least 1,000,000 APT. After the first 1m APT delegation, public staking will be available.

Why your APT validator is inactive?

The P2P validator page and the guide itself is indeed current and accurate. Regarding the inactive status of our validator, it's due to not yet reaching the minimum staking threshold required for activation, which is 1 million APT. Until this threshold is not achieved, the node will remain inactive, and no rewards will be generated. If you're considering staking less than 1 million APT, please be aware that rewards cannot be accrued until the node is active. P2P.org is actively working towards meeting this threshold and appreciates your support and understanding as we aim to enhance our staking services.
