Before staking, you must have APT tokens in your wallet.
STAKING APT
Go to P2P.org validator on the official Aptos explorer page. P2P's delegation pool address is:
0x2c73a85b9e98e3c009b79efc19b1c63dc3a3c752a3445623363bb6bd3eee43b5
Click Stake. The button will be grayed out if your wallet does not have at least 11 APT.
Input the amount you want to stake. Remember to leave a few tokens for future transactions
Review and sign the transaction in your wallet
Congratulations, you have successfully staked your APT. You should see your delegation on the "My Deposits" section of the validator page
UNSTAKING APT
Click Unstake on the "My Deposits" section of the validator page
Enter the amount you want to unstake, click Unstake, and sign the transaction in your wallet.
Aptos supports partial undelegation but there are conditions as detailed below.
Partial Undelegation Rules
Minimum Unstake Amount: You can initiate a partial unstake with a minimum of 10 APT.
2. Remaining Stake Requirement: After the partial unstake, your remaining active stake must be at least 10.001 APT. If the remaining stake falls below this threshold, the system will automatically unstake the entire amount.
Example: If you have 13 APT staked and attempt to unstake 3.9 APT, the remaining stake would be 9.1 APT, which is below the required minimum. In this case, the entire 13 APT would be unstaked.
When you initiate an unstake, the tokens enter an unlocking period. The duration of this period depends on the validator's lock-up cycle, which can last up to 30 days. Your tokens will become withdrawable at the end of the current cycle. The amount left to unlock can be found on the validator's page.
