One Epoch lasts 24 hours.

When you delegate funds on the Elrond network, they will start earning rewards in the next epoch. Each epoch lasts 24 hours and changes everyday at 2 PM UTC.

The Elrond network does not automatically compound your rewards. At the end of each epoch your rewards can be claimed and staked to compound.
