Below is a step-by-step guide to help you stake IOTA using the P2P Validator through the IOTA wallet. The process is straightforward and takes just a few minutes
IOTA holders are strongly encouraged to perform their own due diligence when selecting a wallet.
Install and Fund IOTA Wallet
Skip this step if the IOTA wallet is already installed and the account is funded with at least 2 IOTA.
Otherwise, proceed to the Chrome Web Store and install a trusted IOTA wallet.
After installation, top up the wallet with a minimum of 2 IOTA.
Launch the Wallet and Start Staking
Open the IOTA wallet and click “Start Staking” from the home screen.
Select P2P Validator
In the search bar, type “P2P Validator”.
From the search results, select P2P Validator, then click Next.
Enter Staking Amount
Specify the amount you wish to stake (minimum 1 IOTA) and click Stake.
Done!
That’s it, your IOTA is now successfully staked.
Make a note of when rewards begin to accrue and when they will become redeemable.
Monitor or Unstake
On the wallet’s home screen, a “Current Stake” link will appear.
This section allows you to monitor your staking status and unstake your IOTA if needed.
