Before staking, you must have Cosmos ATOM tokens in your Cosmostation wallet.
Download Cosmostation wallet for iOS or Android.
SETTING UP YOUR WALLET
Create a new wallet or import an existing one.
Set a PIN that you will remember.
Save your Secret Recovery Phrase somewhere secure. You will need it to recover your account or log in on a different device. If you lose it, you will lose access to your funds! Please do not share this Secret Recovery Phrase with anyone; anyone with access to it will have access to your funds!
Copy your Cosmos Hub address so you can fund your wallet.
STAKING ATOM
On the Chains tab, choose Cosmos Hub.
Click the Earn bubble on the bottom right and choose ATOM Manage Stake.
Click on Start Stake.
Click the drop-down menu on Cosmostation and select P2P.org from the list of validators. You can use the search bar to find it quickly.
Input the Stake Amount and Confirm.
Choose the transaction speed you prefer and click Stake
Input your wallet PIN and click Confirm the transaction. You will be redirected to the ATOM Manage Stake screen, which will show your current stake(s).
Your stake will activate, and you will start earning rewards immediately! Rewards are claimed manually and can either be added to your stake or to your available balances.
UNSTAKING ATOM
Navigate to ATOM Manage Stake screen
On the Staking tab, select the stake you want to manage
Click Unstake
Select the validator you want to unstake from
Input amount to unstake and confirm amount
Click Unstake, input PIN and confirm the transaction.
Please note that ATOM has a 21-day unbonding period. You will retain ownership of your assets throughout this period, with the lock-in only preventing you from transferring the funds to other accounts for the specified time.
ATOM supports partial unstaking; this means you can unstake only a portion of your staked amount if you choose to do so, or you can unstake the full amount of staked ATOM.
