What is Tezos?

Tezos is an open-source blockchain network for peer-to-peer transactions. It serves as a platform for deploying and executing smart contracts.

How often are staking rewards distributed?

The first rewards are distributed after approximately 23 days. After this, rewards will be distributed approximately every 2.83 days. More info here.

Is there an unstaking period?

There is no unstaking period in the Tezos network and your tokens will be transferable immediately upon unstaking.

Is there a slashing risk for validators?

There is no slashing risk for delegators.


Is there a minimum staking amount for Tezos?

There is no minimum staking amount. However, if you stake less than 1XTZ, your rewards will be paid every 3 months.

Do staking rewards compound?

Yes, Tezos staking rewards are compounded automatically.

What is the Tezos inflation rate?

The Tezos network inflation rate is approximately 5% per year.
