Natively staked Ethereum (ETH) withdrawal guide

ETH withdrawal

If you wish to exit your validator(s), you can do so using the P2P.org dApp. This guide provides the steps for withdrawing Direct and SVV validators.

The withdrawal process involves several steps:

  • Exit Queue: Once you initiate the withdrawal, the validator enters an exit queue, marking the first step towards reclaiming the ETH. You can find the Ethereum validator queue here: https://www.validatorqueue.com/ and check the current exit queue wait time.

  • Safety Checks: A 256-epoch period follows, during which the system conducts necessary safety checks. This ensures that the validator wasn't involved in any malicious activity and hasn't been slashed.

  • Waiting for Sweep: After the safety checks, the validator must wait for their turn to move funds from consensus to execution layer. This waiting period can vary between 0 and 9 days.

Exiting the validator(s)

  • Navigate to the P2P.org dApp

  • Click Connect Wallet. Note that only the depositor address can perform the withdrawal, so you will need to connect the wallet hosting the depositor address.

  • If you cannot find your wallet in the supported list, you can use Wallet Connect.

  • You may be required to sign terms before you proceed to stake. Read and understand the terms and sign in your wallet.

  • Navigate to the Dashboard tab

  • Click Withdraw. There’s also an alternative path: In the validators list, click the three dots (⋯) next to the validator and use the withdrawal option from there.

  • Choose Direct tab if you are withdrawing a natively staked validator

  • Choose DVT x SSV tab if you are withdrawing an SSV validator

  • Select the validator(s) you wish to exit and click Withdraw

  • Sign the transaction in your wallet.

  • That’s it, you have initiated the withdrawal of your validator(s).
