What is Namada?

Namada is a privacy-first L1 chain connected with the Cosmos ecosystem via IBC. It uses a unified shielded set and shielded swaps to ensure user transactions remain private regardless of the underlying asset. Namada is focused on making privacy a universal, asset-agnostic, and multi-chain public good.

What is the minimum staking amount?

This is a testnet guide, so please note that the rewards hold no real-world value.

There is no minimum staking amount in Namada Network.

How often are staking rewards distributed?

This is a testnet guide, so please note that the rewards hold no real-world value.

Reward are distributed once per epoch, i.e. once per 6 hours.

Is there an unstaking period?

The unbonding period for Namada mainnet is 14 days.

Is there a slashing risk?

Yes, this protocol has downtime and double-sign slashing risks.
