Before staking, you must have DOT tokens in your wallet. Talisman is an Ethereum and Polkadot wallet that makes web3 simple for beginners and unlocks superpowers for pros.

Create and confirm a secure password for your wallet.
Click Continue
Add an account from Settings tab> Manage Accounts> Add Account
Choose New tab to create a new account. Options to import an existing account, connect Ledger or watch an account are also available.
Select New Polkadot Account
Give your account a name and click Create
Save your Recovery Phrase somewhere secure. You will need it to recover your account or log in on a different device. If you lose it, you will lose access to your funds! Please do not share this Secret Recovery Phrase with anyone; anyone with access to it will have access to your funds!
Copy your DOT address to fund your wallet.
JOINING DOT NOMINATION POOL
Bonding Requirements: Pooling DOT requires bonding, and once pooled, it takes 28 days to withdraw.
In Talisman Wallet, go to the Staking tab. You will be redirected to https://app.talisman.xyz/staking
On DOT (Polkadot) with Type: Nomination pool click Stake
Specify amount to stake
Click "Talisman Pool" then Pick a different pool to search for P2P.org pools
Choose any one of the P2P.org nomination pools and click Swap Pool
Click Manage to select a reward claim option. If you want rewards to only be claimed by you, you can leave the default None option.
💡The available reward claiming options are:
Permissioned(default): Only you can claim rewards.
Allow Compound: It grants permission to anyone to claim and compound your rewards.
Allow Withdraw: Anyone can claim the rewards on your behalf as a transferable balance in your account.
Allow All: Anyone can claim the rewards on your behalf as a transferable balance in your account.
Review your staking details and click Stake
Approve the transaction in your wallet
MANUALLY CLAIMING POOL REWARDS
On the Talisman Portal navigate to Staking> Positions
Click on the reward amount to claim it.
Choose whether you want to compound(restake) the reward or claim it. In this case, we will claim.

LEAVING A DOT NOMINATION POOL
On the Talisman Portal navigate to Staking> Positions
Click the three dots(...) next to the stake
Click Unstake
Input the amount you want to unstake(partial unstaking is supported). Click Leave pool.
Review transaction details and click Approve
Please note that DOT has a 28-day unbonding period. You will retain ownership of your assets throughout this period, with the lock-in only preventing you from transferring the funds to other accounts for the specified time.
