What is Story?
Story is a purpose-built L1 for minting and operating with IP assets on-chain. Story's tokenized IP is programmable - IP owners can define how their assets can be used (licencing, royalties etc.). This can also enable more fair and transparent use of content for training AI models.
What is the minimum amount of Story required to stake?
Yes, the minimium staking amount is 1024 IP.
How often are rewards distributed?
Staking rewards are accrued with every block, but are only distributed once the total amount of rewards reaches the 8 IP threshold, upon which they will automatically go to a reward distribution queue, which only processes a fixed amount of reward distribution requests per block. The reward distribution per block is 32.
Are rewards auto-compounded?
No, Story (IP) staking rewards are not compounded automatically. More info can be found here.
How long is the bonding period?
Bonding is instant.
How long is the unbonding period?
The default unstaking period is 14 days. However, delegators can opt-in locking their tokens for an extra amount of time to receive an additional rewards multiplier. Please refer to the official documentation for more details.
Is there slashing risk?
Yes, there is a slashing risk of 0.02% for long periods of downtime and 5% for a double-sign. P2P.org runs institutional-grade, robust and secure infrastructure to mitigate these risks.
What fees do you charge for delegation?
Validator fees are 5% for locked validator, 10% for unlocked validator
